Himachal Calling: From Shimla to Spiti, an Adventure Awaits

The Queen of Hill Stations, Shimla

We start our tour at Shimla, the "Queen of Hill Stations." You will be taken back in time to a time when this quaint town was British India's summer capital as soon as you set foot in it. A seductive atmosphere is created by the city's colonial architecture, clean mountain air, and tranquil surroundings.

The Ridge

The Ridge, a spacious platform with expansive views of the surrounding mountains, is the ideal place to begin your adventure. It's the ideal location for a stroll in the evening, especially as the sun sets and the sky turns crimson and orange.

Mall Road

The Mall Road in Shimla is a shopping haven. A wide range of regional woollen goods, handicrafts, and distinctive mementos are available. Remember to sample the delectable Himachali cuisine at one of the numerous eateries situated along the route.

The Jakhu Temple

Proceed to the Jakhu temple, which is devoted to Lord Hanuman. The enormous statue of Hanuman, which is towering and offers breathtaking views of the town, is the main attraction during our visit.

Solang Valley

Go straight to Solang Valley if you're looking for adventure. During the winter, this location becomes a snowy paradise with skiing and snowboarding available. It's a zorbing and paragliding haven in the summer.

Rohtang Pass

Lahaul and Spiti Valley can be accessed by Rohtang Pass. Although the travel is difficult, the breathtaking scenery makes it worthwhile. The delight of playing in the snow and the pass's snow-covered summits are both well-known attractions.

McLeodganj and Dharamshala: The Tibetan Connection

This is McLeodganj's central attraction. It is home to the Dalai Lama's palace, Namgyal Monastery, and the Tibet Museum, which offers insightful information on Tibetan history and culture.

Bhagsu Waterfall

You can reach Bhagsu Waterfall from McLeodganj with a quick hike. There are several cafes along the path where you may enjoy delectable food and the calm atmosphere. The waterfall is a stunning sight in and of itself.

Walk to Triund

Chitkul

A hidden treasure, Chitkul is the last settlement on the Indo-Tibetan border to be inhabited. Trekkers and lovers of the outdoors will find the unspoiled, beautiful terrain to be the perfect backdrop.

Famous for its historic monastery and fort perched on a hill, Dhankar is home to both. The settlement itself is a monument to Spiti's cultural past, and the views from the fort are surreal.
