Second Manora Bird Festival to Be Held in Haldwani

The second Manora Bird Festival, organized by the Wild Tuskers Society, will take place from Wednesday at Balot Resort, Suryajala, Nainital. The festival will feature renowned photographers, wildlife experts, and bird watchers from across India, aiming to promote tourism in Jyoli, Bhujiaghat, Suryajala, and Dogra of the Manora Range. Led by wildlife expert Vishal Thakur and bird guide Gani Shama from Gujarat, the event promises an enriching experience for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts.

KEMU Bus Service Launched from Haldwani to Munsyari – Check Latest Fares

The Kumaon Motor Owners Union (KEMU) has started a new bus service from Haldwani to Munsyari, offering a convenient and affordable travel option for passengers. Aimed at boosting tourism in the hilly regions and improving transport facilities for locals, the service will operate daily.

The one-way fare for the journey has been set at Rs 640, making it an economical choice for travelers. The bus will depart from Haldwani at 5:00 AM, passing through Seraghat, Bedinagar, Thal, and Nachani, reaching Munsyari by evening. The return journey will begin the next day at 5:00 AM, benefiting passengers traveling to Almora, Haldwani, and nearby areas.

Former Indian cricket team bowler RP Singh visited Baba Neem Karauli

Crickter RP Singh was welcomed by the Nainital District Cricket Association at the GNG Cricket Arena. RP Singh stayed in Rudrapur for the first two days and then reached Haldwani on Monday. After the Haldwani program, he left for the famous Kainchi Dham in the evening.

All schools in Haldwani and Nainital district will remain closed on 13th September due to Rain Red Alert

According to the weather forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places, heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places and thundershowers at some places are expected in Nainital district on 13th September. Due to which, a one day holiday has been declared in all the government, semi-government and private schools (all educational institutions running from class 1 to 12) and all Anganwadi centres of the district.

Another new safari zone is going to start in Jim Corbett National Park, in which one can do safari by gypsy. The special thing is that from this zone, tourists will be able to know in detail about the famous hunter Edward James Jim Corbett. Ramnagar Forest Division is going to start a new Corbett Heritage Safari Zone in Kaladhungi area.

Helicopter Services from Haldwani to Pithoragarh, Munsiyari & Champawat Started on 22 Feb 2024

Under the UDAAN Scheme, Uttarakhand Government has started Helicopter Services from Haldwani to Pithoragarh, Munsiyari & Champawat from 22 Feb 2024. Heli Services from Haldwani will be available from Gaulapar Helipad to Pithoragarh, Munsiyari & Champawat.

A seven seater helicopter will operated by Air Heritage fly 2 times a day from Haldwani to each destination. The ticket price for helicopter service from Haldwani will be INR 2500 per person for Champawat, INR 3000 for Pithoragarh and INR 3500 for Munsiyari.
