Bathing is not permitted in the sacred waters of Gauri Kund.

Permit Requirements

  • Inner Line Permit: Required for all visitors due to proximity to the Indo-Tibetan border. Permits are issued in Dharchula (bring ID proof and passport-sized photos).
  • Local Guide: It’s recommended to have a guide for navigating the rugged terrain.
