Devalsari is a hidden paradise of umpteen variety of colorful butterflies in the Aglar Valley of Tehri Garhwal. It fascinates the nature lovers and bird watchers for it is home to significant rare species of butterflies. A nature and bird-watching camp was organised by Titli Trust, an NGO supported by the Mussoorie forest division and the ecotourism wing of Uttarakhand forest department. The 32 participants were bewildered by the variety of bird and butterfly life at Devalsari. They counted 60 species of birds and 70 species of butterflies. On just one three-hour walk, participants counted 60 butterfly species. There were over 1,000 butterflies spotted.
Devalsari is located in Tehri Garhwal ( It is situated in Tehri district about 52 kms from Mussoorie on Thatyur road).
One can reach Devlsari by hiring Jeep or Car from Mussoorie. Devalsari is also a base camp for Nag Tibba trek. Located at 55 kms from Mussoorie, follow the following route to reach Devalsari.
