Himachal has declared coronavirus as an epidemic and necessary measures has been taken to control its spreading. WHO (World Health Organization) has declared COVID-19 as a pandemic, following the critical conditions, Government of India and State Government has come together to take precautionary measures to prevent this from spreading.
About New Covid Variant Omicron
World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the new variant of Covid-19 i.e. B.1.1.529 - Omicron as Variant of Concern (VoC) because it is highly transmissible than previous Covid variants.

With rising cases of coronavirus, the Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday took preventive measures and imposed night curfew in the state from 10 PM to 5 AM to check the spread of COVID-19. Indoor sports complexes, stadium, swimming pools, gyms and cinema halls will be shut in the state and only 50 per cent attendance will be allowed at gatherings in marriage and banquet halls.

Himachal Covid Care mobile app enables Home Isolated Covid19 positive patients, who are present in Himachal Pradesh, to self-register on the mobile app and record their symptoms regularly. The Block Medical Officer of the Block where the patient is residing, will assign a Doctor to interact, monitor the health of the self-registered Home Isolated Covid patient and advise/ prescribe treatment till their final recovery.
