Although every season has its own significance in Chaukori, still the best time to visit Chaukori is from December to June. In addition, the greenery is at its full bloom from July to September. Being part of well-maintained NH-309A, roads are pretty good, smooth for Chaukori, and well suited for your personal vehicle.

There are limited options for cabs in Chaukori as it is a small town. You can either pre-book your cab or update your hotel / organiser for arranging one for you. The rates of the taxis vary depending upon the vehicle requested and the kilometers covered.

To explore Chaukori and its nearby surroundings at a relaxed pace, one would need 2 days minimum as there are plenty of places in and around Chaukori. Few of the must visit places are Berinag, Dharamgarh, Kanda Village etc. In addition to that, there are other tourist destination as well like Bageshwar, Kausani, Baijnath, Gwaldam and Almora in the vicinity.

• By Road: Chaukori is well connected with major northern cities via motorable roads. There are various bus services available from Delhi to Kathgodam / Almora. From there you can drive to Chaukori in shared taxi / local cabs or buses. The buses for Kumaon region operated by Uttaranchal State Road Transport Corporation are operated from Anand Vihar ISBT.
• By Rail: The nearest railhead is Kathgodam Railway Station, which is 193 km from Chaukori. There are numerous trains connecting Kathgodam with other major cities like Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata etc. The frequency of trains to Kathgodam is quite high as it is the gateway to the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.
• By Air: The nearest airport is the Pantnagar Airport that lies approximately 227 kilometres from Chaukori.

Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest railway station, which is at a distance of 193 kms from Chaukori. There are several car rental and tour companies, which operate from Kathgodam and provide taxis to Chaukori.

Kausani is at a distance of 85 kms from Chaukori via National Highway 309A and Garur Bageshwar road. Local and state-run buses provide daily services between Kausani and Chaukori. In addition to that, taxi services are also available from Chaukori to Kausani on private as well as shared basis.

As one of the less crowded tourist destination, Chaukori has few of quality Hotels with their in-house restaurant that serves variety of cuisines.
