Due to the overwhelming response, registration for the Chardham Yatra has been carefully managed to ensure a smooth experience for devotees at Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. The tourism department has been vigilant as registrations surpassed 1.4 million in just ten days.
To maintain a manageable flow, daily registrations are capped at 20,000 for Badrinath, 18,000 for Kedarnath, 9,000 for Yamunotri, and a maximum of 11,000 for Gangotri. Given the limited accommodation available at each Dham, the number of daily visitors has been restricted in previous years as well. This measure aims to provide a comfortable and fulfilling pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
