Perched at an height 4000 meters, Bisurital is a high altitude lake located in the Mandakini valley. This high altitude lake is located near Chopta and is one the hidden trekking destination in Uttarakhand. Due to its relative obscurity, not many trekkers are aware of Bisudi Tal's existence.

Send Enquiry for Tour PackagesThe lake can be reached via trekking 60 kms (both sides) with Bisuri Dhar being the highest point of elevation (4100 m). The trek to Bisurital offers a glimpse of lush green forests, river streams, waterfalls, alpine meadows and mountain wildlife.
Bisurital is a virgin trail and not many trekkers go for this trek, as it is a tough trek compared to other easy treks. It is believed that the lake has medicinal values and cure many skin related problems by bathing in its water.
The best time to visit Bisurital is from March to December (before snowfall in Chopta region). Weather in Bisuri Tal remains crystal clear, most of the time temperature is gentle except snowfall season.
Day 1: Rishikesh to Chopta (190km drive)
Day 2: Chopta to Chitra Gufa (Chitray Gumpha) (15 km trek)
Day 3: Chitra Gufa to Bisurital (15 km trek)
Day 4: Bisurital to River Akash Gamini (15 km trek)
Day 5: Akash Gamini to Chopta (15 km trek)
Day 6: Chopta to Rishikesh (190km drive)
Note: The trek also starts from Sari Village as well, covering both Deoriatal and Rohini Buygal as well. On on return, you come down to Chopta. If you have one more day, you can also visit Tungnath and Chandrashila as well.
Located in the Rudraprayag district, the high altitude Lake Bisurital can be reached via trekking from Chopta. The trek to Bisurital starts from Chopta and passes through Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. The 5-day trek is of moderate difficulty. The total length of trek is 60 kms (both sides).
While trekking from Sari Village and Deoria Tal: The trek route climbs up gradually to Tikdi Khal (2800 mts) where you will find two two diversions. The straight trail leads to Bisuri Tal, a high altitude glacial lake whereas the trail on the right with steep descent goes towards Akash Kamini stream coming from Chandrashila.
