Zero Point is a short trek from Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Tourist Rest House. You can park your cars at the TRH and further take the swift 2 km trek to the man-made watch tower. The entry fee of the sanctuary is Rs. 150 per person (valid for 3 days) and Rs. 250 for the car. This beauteous place is approximately 9 km drive from the entry point to the National Park and 45 minutes (2 km) walk after that. It takes about 50 to 60 minutes to walk uphill from the road head.
Binsar Zero Point exhibiting its gorgeous landscape is perched on a hilltop, for which one needs to trek uphill. A brisk 2 km trek will take you through the woods; you can explore the wilderness and hear the birds chirping in ecstasy. One can admire the biodiversity of the wildlife sanctuary or savour a gorgeous vista of the snow-laden mountains.
One can also see the man-made watch tower here which offers majestic views of the Himalayas. And if you are staying at the KMVN resort then don’t miss out the sunrise and sunset view from here. The view from the KMVN resort is absolute bliss; you can have a hot cup of tea and absorb the serenity of this place.

Binsar Zero Point is adorned in the toy town of Binsar. This tiny hamlet cocooned in the Jhandi hills of Kumaon is located about 24 km away from Almora and around 385 km away from Delhi. You can take a taxi to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and further 2 km on foot from KMVN Tourist Rest House to reach Zero Point.
By Road: Binsar nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand is well connected with motorable roads. Buses to the nearest cities such as Almora (24 km), Nainital (85 km) and Haldwani (112 km) are easily available from ISBT Ananda Vihar, Delhi. Taxis are also available from major cities of Kumaon and Garhwal to Binsar. Driving by your own vehicle to Binsar is also a good idea as the roads to Kumaon are swift and you’ll only have to pay an entry ticket of Rs. 50.
By rail: Kathgodam railhead at 105 km away is the nearest railway station to Binsar. It is well linked by metalled roads with major cities like Lucknow, Kolkata, Delhi etc. There are two trains that operate daily between Delhi to Kathgodam and vice-versa. The trains are frequent to Kathgodam as it is ‘The Gateway to Kumaon’ and taxis are easily available from here to Binsar.
By Air: Pantnagar airport at 132 away from Binsar is the nearest airport to Binsar. It is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. Taxis are easily available from this airport to Binsar.
