8 year old Savita collects fodder for the cattle, goes for grazing (Gwala) the cattles and also offers a helping hand to her mother in the household work. She also goes to school and reads in 3rd standard.

The girl child education is still considered unimportant. Girls are married at an early age, as soon as 15-16 years.
