The village is surrounded by the Pine Forests. The dark dense Pine forests also provide fuel wood. The pine trees shed their leaves (Perool) in August, which are also used as fuels.

The Pine tree sheds its seeds as "Shyunta". The Shyunta is also is eaten as fruit. The fruit of the pine tree is called "Furra" which contains the Shyunta.
