Q. How safe is the Everest base camp helicopter tour?
A. The shuttles are powerful to withstand the weather and strong wind at that altitude and make the trip safe. Ther are professional pilots and crew members who have numerous years of flying in the Himalayas which assures complete safety of the guests.
Q. will our helicopter land at Everest base camp or not?
A. No, the helicopter will not land at Everest Base Camp as it is a part of the Khumbu Glacier, an unstable terrain. Likewise, there is no space for landing a helicopter. In terms of views, Kala Patthar offers sensational views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and many others. Also note that from the base camp of Everest, you will not get to see many high peaks.
Q. What are things we need to check before planning for Heli Tour of Everest Base Camp
A. Before you journey into the region, make sure you are well-informed on the following:
Q. What will be average temperature at Everest Base Camp ?
A. The temperature ranges between 15 degrees celsius to -5 degrees celsius in spring and autumn. In winter, the temperature falls below -17 degrees celsius and is considered the coldest time of the year.
Q. Can single traveler also book the Everest base camp helicopter tour and join other group?
A. Yes, as a single traveler, you can join our trip to Everest base camp. Sometimes we have few empty spaces in our group heli tours that you can join. Booking for single person depends on availability of seats in a pre-booked tour only.
Q. What is the best time Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour
A. Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is operated round the year. But for the best views and weather stability, we recommend spring (March to April) and autumn (October to November). Flight in these months offers heartwarming views of the lush green valleys, diverse floral shades, green meadows, and white snow-capped mountains.
During June to mid-September the weather is generally gloomy, unstable with unclear views. The flights get delayed and even canceled most of the time. Winter i.e. December through February offers excellent views of the mountains but it is extremely cold during winters.
