Arrival at Raithal, meet our representative, who will brief about the trek. Raithal to Upper Raithal is a short hike of just 1 km which can be easily done in less than an hour. The well-marked trail begins from the terraced fields of the village and climbs up to the forest entry point. It is an ideal campsite to mark the beginning of the trek with unobstructed views of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli & Mt. Draupadi ka Danda.
Note: It takes another one and a half hour drive to reach Raithal from Uttarkashi, you can take shared taxis from Uttarkashi. To reach Uttarkashi you can take a bus or Taxi from Delhi/Dehradun/Haridwar as per your convenience. Check how to reach Uttarkashi
Start off early in the morning post breakfast. Trail snacks will be provided for the trek. 5 minutes into the trail and you’ll enter a beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna. 4 km gradually ascending route from Upper Raithal leads to shepherd huts at Ghuyin, a quaint little hamlet straight out of a fantasy world. After a short break at Ghuyin, we’ll proceed towards Dayara Bugyal.
The trail becomes easy with less incline from Ghuyin to Dayara Bugyal. A couple of shepherd huts marks the beginning of Dayara Bugyal. If traveling during winters, this might be the perfect camping spot for you because the higher reaches of Dayara Bugyal will be covered with 2-3 ft of snow. During the remaining time of the year, you can trek further to Dayara Bugyal and camp near a water source. This day trek goes through open land and dense forest at different places and finally ends up at the vast expanse of the lush green meadow – Dayara Bugyal.
Make sure you get up early because sunrise is spectacularly beautiful at Dayara Bugyal. Start the summit day to Bakaria Top, 3 kms from Dayara Bugyal. Trek back to Devkund and camp there.
Explore the vast expanse of Dayara Bugyal that spreads out to make Siyari Bugyal and trek down to Barnala Tal. Camping in Barnala Tal.
Bid goodbye to the imposing Himalayan range and trek back to Barsu via Barnala Tal. In just 3 hrs time you’ll be able to reach Barsu Village. Our Trek services will end at Barsu Village. After reaching Barsu drive straight to Uttarkashi and thereon to Dehradun or Delhi.
