Following are trekking options from Pangot
Corbett National Park is situated 80 kms from
Pangot village and it takes 2 to 3 days of
trekking via Kunjakharak and Akashkanda. The trek is amazing and we recommend to hire a local guide for this trek.
2. Trek to the Cheena or Naini Peak
Cheena Peak is the highest peak in
Nainital and it is a half-day trek from
Pangot. The trek goes through the forested area of the Cheena Peak range and also has a picnic spot. From atop the peak, one can not only see a broad swath of the snow-clad high Himalaya but also obtain a panoramic view of
Nainital town itself. It is a bliss for people who love walking. One can go for long walks, breath fresh air and enjoy the scenic beauty. If visiting here do not forget to take your own picnic basket because there is no place for eating here.
It is a one day trek from
Pangot and this trek is a sheer delight and offers a beautiful view of the Kumaon Himalayas.
4. Trek to Land's End in Nainital
Going by its name, Land end marks a final point where there is no land beyond that iconic cliff. Located at an altitude of 2118 mts, one can relish the view of mountains, forest, and valleys surrounding
Khurpatal from the Land End.
5. Trek to Guano Hill
Guano Hills are known for their amazing walking and
trekking trails. The hills are surrounded by dense forests of oak, bamboo, and deodar trees. The whole landscape is very scenic, to say the least. For the adventure buffs, trekking beckons at the Guano Hills.
